I’m a 39-year-old web designer, developer, and hobbyist musician/artist/gardener. I live in Northeast Portland, Oregon with my partner Ellen and our dog, Finn.

I was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. After high school I studied graphic design at a small technical school. I left that prematurely to join the team at SecretPenguin – where I worked as a brand designer and eventually made the switch to web design and development.

In 2013, I moved to Portland, Oregon with Ellen and a few of our closest friends. Throughout my creative career, I’ve worked on dozens and dozens of websites, ran a small co-working studio, recorded a few albums, helped run an online events calendar, helped run a record label — and most importantly, built friendships and relationships that I hope to have for the rest of my life.

When not sitting at a desk, I’m usually doing the following things:

• Writing and recording music with Ellen as well as with our good friend, Melissa — who’ve I've been playing music with for over 15 years.
• Turning our front-yard into a Backyard Habitat for birds, bees, and other wildlife.
• Hiking and exploring the Pacific Northwest.
• Looking at art books with Booky Lookers, the art book book club that Ellen and I started.
